Saddle up and ride! Experienced instructors lead all horse sessions during semi-private lessons at Argos Farms Equestrian Center in Lacey. All participants receive instructions on horse safety. Horse activities are rain or shine; an indoor ring is available. No reimbursement will be given for program adjustments.
Campers participating in horseback riding are required to wear approved safety helmets, which are provided. Long pants, closed toe/closed heel, hard-soled shoes with up to a one inch, flat heel are required.
No discounts may be applied to horse programs. Girls without a signed Health History and a horse riding release will not be permitted to participate in the horse program. No refunds will be given and missed days may not be made up in a different week.
Beginner Horseback Riding
Fee: $325 per week, 3rd grade and up
Minimum: 12
Maximum: 16
Available: June 23-27 and/or July 7-11
Horses are fascinating animals, beautiful and strong. Join us to learn safety, handling, tacking, grooming, and first aid and even give a horse a bath. Day includes approximately one hour of semi-private lessons, Girls will learn English and Western riding. Program is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. No transportation available.
Intermediate Horseback Riding
Fee: $325 per week, 3rd grade and up
Minimum: 12
Maximum: 16
Available: July 21-25
Expand on everything you already know about horses. Pre-requisite is 2 weeks of summer camp lessons or 10 private lessons. Program is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. No transportation available.
